A Story of Friendship and Innovation Jatinbhai Desai and Alpeshbhai Kathiriya weren't your typical businessmen. Bound by an unshakeable friendship since childhood, these young men from India possessed a rare quality - the drive to turn problems into solutions. Unlike the majority who simply grumbled about everyday issues, Jatin and Alpesh belonged to the enterprising 1% who dared to create a better way.
This wasn't just about aesthetics, it was a matter of public health. Despite their youth and seemingly stable jobs, Jatin and Alpesh couldn't shake the feeling that something had to be done. Leaving the comfort of their jobs meant taking a significant leap of faith. However, their unwavering belief in their vision and a shared "Jugaad" mindset the Indian art of improvisation and finding solutions with Limited resources - propelled them forward.

Jalpooree: A healthy version of pani puri.Great Things Start Small
The brand created in Surat is rapidly expanding in Gujarat....
Two friends in Surat were concerned about the unhygienic conditions in which panipuri, a popular street food, was being made. They decided to start their own business selling clean and healthy panipuri.
They named their business Jalpooree and it quickly became popular in Gujarat. Jalpooree is now made in a state-of-the-art production house and is distributed all over Gujarat. Alpesh and Jatin, embarked on a mission to elevate the humble panipuri from its grimy street origins.


2019
they envisioned a "Shudh Panipuri”Miss Panipooree: The Untold Struggle
Appalled by the unsanitary conditions they witnessed first-hand, they envisioned a "Shudh Panipuri" (clean panipuri) revolution in Gujarat. Their journey, however, wasn't paved with rose petals. Their initial attempt, "Miss Panipuri," faced resistance due to its higher price point, a reflection of its hygienic practices. The irony wasn't lost on them - people readily paid more for unhealthy indulgences but balked at a healthier alternative. Yet, they persevered, fueled by their conviction.

A turning point arrived with the pandemicHow Jalpooree Took Over
As hygiene concerns amplified, the demand for Jalpooree, the rebranded venture, skyrocketed Their commitment to cleanliness resonated with a health-conscious public, leading to a tenfold increase in production. Today, Jalpooree stands tall, a testament to their unwavering dedication.
Their sprawling 6000 square feet production house in Surat hums with activity, churning out a staggering 60 lakh puris daily. The state-of-the-art facility adheres to stringent hygiene protocols, ensuring every puri is crafted in a spotless environment.
